THE CRESCENT MOONRISE IN THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT - A THREATENING AND POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC PROSPECT FOR HINDUS IN GENERAL

THE CRESCENT MOONRISE IN THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT - A  THREATENING AND POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC PROSPECT FOR HINDUS IN GENERAL
With all my commitment to Secularism and the nobel principle of Communal Harmony fully in place, yet of late I have become apprehensive of a prospect which is steadily taking shape and which may alter forever the Ethno-Communal composition of Indian Subcontinent in general and perhaps of Indian Nation as well (albeit at a much future date). The fact of ever increasing Muslim population in Indian Subcontinent and India, which is not only rising at a much sharper rate, but even the rate of growth is accelerating, (is evident from available statistics), is a matter of grave concern for all right minded thinking individuals of this nation. As it may not only imperil the Hindu Religion but may also destroy in this region forever the cardinal values of Secularism, Democracy and the idea of Pluralism-the essence of contemporary India.
The Muslim Population is galloping at a much faster pace than the Hindu population in the entire region sometimes referred to as ‘Undivided India’ (or more appropriately The Indian Subcontinent). And this growth rate is also happening fast in the Indian nation, which is automatically included in the Subcontinent. To those who think different, here are the statistics- (these are figures from The Census of Indian Population conducted by the British Govt in pre-independence India and then the figures of Independent India under Indian Govt) –
1)    In 1881, when the census was conducted for the first time in undivided India, Hindus constituted 75.09% of the population while Muslims were 19.97%. Thus Hindus were 3/4ths of India and Muslims almost one fifths, with other communities filling in the gap.
2)    By 1941, or little before Independence the number of Hindus was reduced to 69.46% and those of Muslims rose to 24.28%. As per the position in 1991, (which was got by collating the Census figures of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh), Muslims constituted 29.92% of the Population of the three Countries collectively.
3)    Thus we see that not only the Muslim Population is rising but even the rate of growth is accelerating, which rose  by only 4.31% in the first 60 years (from 1881 till 1941) as compared to 5.64% in the next fifty years (from 1941 till 1991).
4)    By 2011 census, it is estimated Muslims constitute no less than 32% of the Indian Subcontinent Population and Hindus less than 64%.
5)    The Figures are on similar for the Indian Republic. Hindus constituted 84.98% of Indian population in 1951, i.e. little after Independence and Muslims at that time were 9.91%.
6)    The Muslim composition has risen to 12.60 % in 1991 and subsequently to 13.4% in 2001, while the Hindu Population has declined to 81.5% in 1991 and futher down to 80.1% in 2001.
7)    It is estimated that Muslim Population exceeds 14% in 2011 while Hindu population is below 80% mark.

FUTURE SCENARIO

It is estimated that at this rate within a span of 200-300 years Hindus would be reduced to a Minority community in the Indian Republic and that would happen much sooner in The Indian Subcontinent.

IMPLICATIONS

The Prospects are frightening to say the least. Hindu minority under a Muslim majority would be not merely accorded a  secondary status but would also be gradually, systematically and steadily wiped out or exterminated. It is clear from the example of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Kashmir Valley.

DON’T TAKE IT AS  A PROVOCATION

I request my readers once and again not to take it as a provocation and get instigated. I have no grudges at all with Muslims or Muslim Community in general. I am only worried about a future  scenario which may change things completely. The common Muslims are not to be blamed for this.

THE LIKELY SOLUTION - A NON SECTARIAN, NON COMMUNAL APPROACH TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM

At the moment, this issue of stopping the rise of Muslim Population is completely hijacked by Hindu Religious Fundamentalist. They see the things through their narrow prism and want a religious war on this issue. This is the last thing that should happen. What we need is a  movement by The Liberal Secular Hindus committed to the national cause, who should put pressure on the government to check illegal immigration from Bangladesh and Pakistan, enact Uniform Civil Code, make common cause with the suppressed minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh, Help Kashmiri Pandits get  their rightful place in their home state, etc. Hindu issues should not be a monopoly of RSS and VHP. Rather they should be taken up by Liberal Hindus more and more. And I am sure many patriotic Muslims would join them too in this righteous cause. Only a  Hindu dominated India can usher in an age of Democracy, All round prosperity, Religious Tolerance, Pluralism – it is the bitter pill, let us chew it.

THE SOCIOLOGY OF INDIAN POLITICAL LANDSCAPE – THE THREE MAJOR IDEOLOGICAL STRAINS – WITH CENTRIST CONGRESS PARTY BEING THE INEVITABLE APPROPRIATE CONSEQUENT

THE SOCIOLOGY OF INDIAN POLITICAL LANDSCAPE – THE THREE MAJOR IDEOLOGICAL STRAINS – WITH CENTRIST CONGRESS PARTY BEING THE INEVITABLE APPROPRIATE CONSEQUENT
The Indian Nation presents the case of a unique and unparalleled entity in terms of social and cultural diversity. This immense diversity has resulted in the establishment of a socio-political system, over the last 63 years since independence, whereby various complex divergent and seemingly contradictory ideologies have jostled with each other for supremacy, but ultimately the balance has been restored with the revival of Centrist Congress Party.
India is a land of diverse religions, varied castes, conflicting ideologies and regional disparities. Over the last 63 years since Independence from The British Hands, we have seen several major socio-political upheavels, which has brought about temporary social confusion but all these events cumulatively have ultimately given a firm direction to the mode of social progress and national ideology.
The First major ideological strain of Indian System is represented by the all encompassing, all embracing and pan inclusive Congress Party. It is the Grand Old Party of India, one which spearheaded the Freedom Struggle, the party of Father of The Nation – Mahatma Gandhi. It accommodates all the castes and communities within it’s umbrella and all are welcome here, it pursues the policy of national development through social justice and secularism. The Congress Party is principally ardently secular and strongly feels for the downtrodden sections of society – namely Dalits, Adivasis, OBCs, Minorities, poors among the upper castes, and other weaker sections like Women and Handicapped persons. The party wants to dramatically improve their lot in a short span of time through caste based and gender based reservations, and other massive social welfare schemes. However Party carries out this transition through peaceful means without disturbing social harmony.
THE HINDU BACKLASH
Then we have the BJP, the political wing of Sangh Parivar. This party is strongly Pro-Hindu (Majority Community) and tends to end religious discrimination against Hindus in India via it’core ideology. This includes construction of a Ram Temple at Ayodhya (On the ruins of a Mosque), abolition of special status to the Only muslim dominated province of India – Jammu and Kashmir, total national ban on cow slaughter, implementation of Uniform Civil code in place of obsolete gender discriminating individual laws of religious communities. Etc. The BJP is primarily supported by the Brahmins and other Upper Castes but now has expanded into OBCs as well.
BJP tacitly supports strong nationalism and wants tough policy against Terrorism and it’s sponserer Pakistan.
AMBEDKARITE/SOCIALIST REVOLUTION
The third strain in the Indian Political set up is the movement of the Backward castes and dalits. Technically this is most appropriately represented by Bahujan Samaj Party which calls upon all Non Upper (Oppressed) Castes (85% of the Population, which includes Muslims and Christians) to unite against the oppressing Upper Castes (15% of the population) and seize all power and authority from them. But this Lofty Goal has failed to find takers beyond Uttar Pradesh. So we have alternatively the Samajwadis or the Socialists, who tend to end caste discrimination but in a more conciliatory manner and with less of militancy. They have the support of many of the Backward castes, who are lesser radical on caste ellimination than Dalits. We have many of such regional parties like Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya Janta Dal, DMK, etc,
THE FOURTH DIMENSION
There is another fourth semi major dimension – the communists. But they could capture only pockets of India and could never dominated the imagination of the Hindi Heartland as their emphasis was on economic class rather than on social caste.
THE SOCIAL BASIS OF THE THREE STRAINS
While the Hindu Movement is supported by mainly upper castes, although it has the potential to invoke all Hindus. But of late it has gained support among intermediate castes and OBCs as well, specially in the sates  of Gujarat and Karnataka. Congress was supported by all divergent communities, in fact till a long time after independence it’s core constituency included the ideologically divergent groups of Brahmins, Dalits and Muslims. This clearly shows the universality of this party. OBC vote is completely divided. Some support BJP ( Like in Karnataka, Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan, etc) while others vote for Socialists and few go for BSP.
THE THREE STRAINS – HOW EACH ONE FARES
BJP represents AGGRESSIVE NATIONALISM with elements of communalism, according to some the party represents an ideology which is fearful of a strong socialist-backward movement, which would snatch away all priveledges and clout of upper castes and so intentionally rakes up the issue of strong nation and religion so that all Hindus unite and Brahmins and other upper castes retain their clout. It is also perceived that this party is unduly proud of Indian culture and wants to emphasize it at the complete cost of Muslim Contribution made in this Country. Whatever may be the allegations, but this is true that minorities do not feel safe under it’s rule, so it’s religious policy is unacceptable.
The Socialist and The Ambedkarite Movements are one again exclusive movements. They symbolize SOCIAL JUSTICE, but this is done with a sense of vengeance or blocking of opportunities for the upper castes. They lack vision and totally exclude capitalism as a means of economic advancement. In the name of secularism, these parties have  approved, endorsed and encouraged Muslim Communalism. These are unacceptable as well.
INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS - THE NATURAL OUTCOME AS THE LESSER EVIL
Congress today suffers from many drawbacks. But it is the lesser evil and in matters of ideology, best suited for Indian Nation. BJP’S rule affects Muslims, makes them fearful and insecure. While Socialist/Ambedkar parties hamper the growth of the nation and makes life more difficult for upper castes as their opportunities are blocked due to reservation policy. Congress is the natural national fallout.

THE BEAUTY OF HINDUISM - THE GREAT ABSORBER, ASSIMILIATOR AND RELIGION OF PEACE

THE BEAUTY OF HINDUISM -  THE GREAT ABSORBER, ASSIMILIATOR AND RELIGION OF PEACE
The Hindu Religion or Hindu Faith defies definition. A Non-Prophetic Religion which originated in the Indian Subcontinent and remained and still remains the dominant socio-cultural force here -with over 1 billion (100 crore) adherents across India and world -  is today world’s third largest religion after Christianity and Islam. Hinduism symbolizes the Epitome of Religious Tolerance, Exemplary Social Harmony, the development of Non-Violence (Ahimsa) up to it’s pinnacle, and huge democracy in the manner and form of worship, and it’s richness is best manifest  in the plurality of it’s gods and goddesses and more importantly  in the vast diversity exhibited among it’s followers- culturally, socially and even in matters of Philosophy and rituals.]
Hinduism was born in India in pre-historic times. The Religion took a definitive shape when flocks of Indo-Aryans (A branch of the illustrious Aryan race) appeared on the North-Western frontiers of India. When they reached the land occupying modern Afghanistan, it is believed, then Rig Veda was composed- the first of the Four Vedas, which collectively form the bed rock and foundational base of Hindu Wisdom. The Indo Aryans initially faced some resistance from the local inhabitants, namely the Dravidians but soon a unity was forged and the process of synthesis initiated, which led to the formation of first loose framework of Nascent Hinduism. Hinduism fundamentally is the bye-product of cultural interbreeding between the Newcomer Aryans and Native Dravidians. Thus we find that Hinduism is foundationed in the values of mutual acceptance, social synthesis and win-win paradigm.
Hinduism is the oldest major living institution of the World, it has passed the test of time. It has faced various foreign invasions, revolts, hostile religious movements and various existential threats. It continues to live and flourish inspite of all these. The religion has lived with one of it’s ugliest and cruelest parts for millennia – the most critical manifestation of caste system – untouchability. The practice of untouchability or segregation of lower castes has incidentally become so much associated with the Religion that it is believed by many to have Religious sanction, which in reality is a gross misrepresentation and distortion of the spirit of Hinduism. It is the hijacking of the Agenda of Hinduism to fulfill selfish interests. The Religious Tradition which tends to imbibe the values of Universal love for creation and sees God in all and all in God can never discriminate even between members of different religions forget between co-religionists.
Hinduism is the Great Embracer, it has accepted all the Foreign which came here so much so that the Foreign never remained Foreign and became an integral and inseparable part of this land. But Hinduism is far from impeccable, it’s society has been subject to superstitions and some of the worst social evils, namely sati (the burning of widow on the funeral pyres of her husband, child marriage, and many other social evils, other than the infamous unequal hierarchial social structure (The Caste System).
But it is the dynamism of Hinduism which has always helped it. Right since the Upanishads, then Jainism-Buddhism, followed by Bhakti-Sufi movement and finally the Modern Age of India commencing under the revolutionary Raja Ram Mohan Roy are clear historical events which have rejuvenated the Hindu society and commenced new age revolutions. The secret for this dynamism could lie in the fact that Hinduism has never believed in the Singularity of truth. No religion, no prophet, no scripture, no philosophy is supposed to be the ultimate final word on truth. No one has the monopoly over Truth. Thus the spirit of enquiry for the Spiritual-Religious truth has always been the norm here. Hinduism is a  universal and global religion and the essence of it’s creed may be thus stated in this Sanskrit Prayer – LOKA SAMASTAH SUKHINO BHAVANTU’ (MAY THE ENTIRE WORLD BE HAPPY).

ANNA HAZARE’S LOK PAL–AND A THOUSAND REVOLUTIONS

ANNA HAZARE’S LOK PAL–AND A THOUSAND REVOLUTIONS
Let the WINDS OF A STRONG SOCIAL MOVEMENT shake the very foundations of evils which plague the society and hamper it’s smooth functioning and harmony. Let the RIGHTEOUS SOCIAL PRESSURE exert an influence and keep a check on the Mechanism of System’s Functioning. Let there develop in India a grand non-political social organization with a mass appeal at the grass roots level which becomes a watchdog to police public authorities and policies. Let the Evil Die. Let Dark Withdraw.’  (ANNONYMOUS, RECIEVED VIA SMS).
Anna Hazare-the man who moved India. His massive social movement against Corruption in public life, which very soon acquired mass appeal, has the potential to change India forever and for good. The acceptance by the Government of all the demands of The Great Social Crusader, i.e primarily the setting up of a super constitutional body LOK PAL, which would keep a  vigilant check on the activities of Public Authorities in order to curb corruption, is only the beginning of a process. It could very well trigger many other movements across different levels and purify India’s Political Institutions substantially, leading to a Society which is not merely on the path to prosperity but also characteristically ethical, virtuous and vibrant.
It all started on a rather weak note. The famous Gandhian Social Activist from Maharashtra, little known in Northern India, sat on fast-unto death at Jantar Mantar (In Delhi) should the government not set up LOk Pal-the Ultimate Watchdog for Corruption. Initially, there were many who wrote him off. But as the days passed by the support for his cause swell, till there was a time when it seemed as if the entire nation was strongly behind him and the govt felt increasingly isolated, helpless and ultimately relented to accommodate all the demands of Anna, a triumph which he ascribed to the National Cause and called it the Victory of the People of India and of The Gandhian Way of Non-Violence.
There are many implications of this successful movement which ended with the ending of the over 4 days fast of Anna, when all his demands were accepted unconditionally. It was a mass movement and strikingly reminded us of the Famous anti-emergency movement led by The late Mr Jayprakash Narayan (J.P.) which culminated in the expulsion from power of the Government of the Formidable Mrs Gandhi, something which was almost only ‘miraculuosly possible’ at that time. But unlike that movement, this one is completely non-political and does not favour or oppose any party, but rather only tends to destroy corruption from Public Life in this country.
‘The People have won the battle, but the war is far from over’ stated Anna immediately after breaking his fast. He set 15th August as the deadline for setting up of Lok Pal, failing which he would relaunch his crusade. He hinted at forming an All India level organization to wipe out corruption from India. The struggle can be taken to other areas, where government has not done enough and which need such types of reforms.
Anna’s Movement could turn into a Major Social Storm, which would go a long way in cleansing the Indian Public Life of Corruption and other social evils. What this man has done is he has galvanized almost all sections of society in this crusade corruption and other political malfunctions and social evils. From another angle we may say it was something which was waiting to happen. The level and extent to which Corruption has galloped in this country is unimaginable with one major scam appearing every new week. Anna is an instrument chosen by the system to fight this evil. And indeed he is the best person to lead this movement, as he is an avowed Gandhian, with an impeccable life, full of values, simplicity and leadership.
The Coming days can prove to be very crucial for the destiny of India. Let us all pledge our support to this noble, Inclusive, and urgent cause.

LONG LIVE THE MOVEMENT,
LONG LIVE LEADER ANNA.
VANDE MATRAM.
INQUILAB ZINDABAD.

THE GAME OF CRICKET - A GREAT SOCIAL GALVANISER AND A BRIDGE FOR BETTER INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING

THE GAME OF CRICKET - A GREAT SOCIAL GALVANISER AND A BRIDGE FOR BETTER INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING
Cricket, in particular it’s World Cup Tournament, has come to acquire great strengths in the South Asian (Indian) Subcontinent and in other Cricket playing nations like UK, Australia & Newzealand, South Africa & Zimbabwe, the West Indies (a collection of island nations in the Carribean in Central America), etc. This game, like many other international sports brings together entire nations and plays the pivotal role of social integration and soothes the various types of disturbances which creeps in the minds of the people from time to time, setting in the tone and temper of unity of society, common focus towards a cause and ultimately leads to the dissolution of individualities into the Great Collective Ocean.
Today is 2nd April, 2011 about 10:45 PM, the Indian team has just won the World Cup Cricket Tournament. We at Ahmedabad are witnessing unprecedented scenes. Streets are full of cars, scooters and other vehicles. People are pouring in to celebrate the Victory. Skies are resounding with Victory Sounds, people are shouting various slogans such as ‘Jeet Gaya Bhai Jeet Gaya, Apna India Jeet Gaya’ (Our India Has won (the match)), ‘Bharat Mata Kee Jai’, ‘Vande Matram’, and so on. There are massive fireworks and crackers in the skies. The victory sounds, the fireworks and the celebrations continue for hours together. Celebrations refuse to calm down even in the early morning hours of the next day.
These celebrations signify the importance of Cricket as the sports which has unified masses, classes and all types of people, cutting across social and by enlarge communal lines. Cricket, has indeed, unified India all the more, emotionally. The people across the length and breadth of the country, in villages, towns, cities and Metropolitan Regions, have forgotten their individual sorrows, their family disputes, the day to day complexities of life to merge into something which is enthusing, energizing and which boosts the confidence of the nation as a whole. This game is like the common thread which makes the people bound to each other. It is also the stress reliever, the mass entertainer of the nation. It is as if this nation of over 121 crore people undertakes a mission to achieve something gigantic and vests all responsibility in those 11 men in blue, and then completely unites in the prayers and wishes of victory for those 11 men. It is a mass movement, nothing short of a Revolution.
Cricket is a also a great platform for competition among nations, but in a manner which is highly just, democratic, completely peaceful and the countries are at equal terms with each other. Two countries will be judged by the performances of their respective teams and not by the size of their army or their nuclear stockpile, as is the case in the Medievalistic or Neo-Medievalistic mindset of warfare and arms race. In other words, cricket like any other sports is the big leveler, All have equal chances of winning provided they are talented and have worked hard for their victory.
In cricket, we are seeing the slow but steady rise of small nations (or nations which have started playing only recently). This is quite evident from the semi-stellar performance shown by teams like Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands, etc at least on some occasions in this world Cup. Cricket establishes perfect democracy between nations and makes it possible for even the smallest nation to beat the strongest nation, thereby establishing a perfect International Eagalatarianism.

IN DEFENCE OF VEGETARIANISM

IN DEFENCE OF VEGETARIANISM
‘I prescribe vegetarianism not because I want to make people become narrowly puritanical or get too much into sense of purity and impurity of food and hence go into smaller minds. But I advocate vegetarianism as the higher implication of Ahimsa (Non-Violence), as it’s practice inculcates high ethical standards and it prevents senseless and mindless slaughter of animals. It pertains to higher human conscience and must be encouraged.’
                                                    - (THE IMPORT OF LORD BUDDHA ON VEGETARIANISM)
Indeed Vegetarianism is one of the most wondrous and marvelous gift of Indian Culture to the Human Civilization. It’s not as if it has been absent or totally non-existent in other cultures. An ethical food habit, which is based on the principle of universal love for creation, can not be restricted to one nation, one culture. But the extent to which it’s practice has been successful here is unparalleled and unprecedented in the geographies of the world.
Vegetarianism is the institutionalization of Ahimsa in it’s strict form, it is establishment and codification of Universal Love into a dietary ethic, it is the Flowering of human morals and it leads to a society of people who are not merely externally harmonius but also internally more at peace with themselves. Vegetarianism is well above a narrow creed, sectarian belief system or some exclusive ideology. It is concern for the so called ‘sub-human’ living beings. Animals have a right to live, being created by the creator to inherit this Earth as living beings. Who says they are equal to Human Beings? We are not according them Fundamental Rights which is the birthright of every human being. But they are living beings and thus should get their right to live just as the ‘Intelligent Man’ gets his various comprehensive types of freedoms. And the first step towards giving animals their due is encouraging a purely Vegetarian Diet.
Vegetarianism falls in the domain or at least an extended domain of every religion of the world. The basic intent of all the religions is Universal love towards God and mankind and reverence for Mother Nature. Thus each and every religion possesses the necessary spiritual injunction to sanction, encourage and promote vegetarianism. Vegetarianism inculcates the ethics of compassion, peaceful and non-violent coexistence based on perfect equality and universal love. After all, one does not require the complicated postulation of scientific logic or the complex inference of some profound philosophy to understand the pain which a living creature undergoes when he is being slaughtered for human consumption.
Vegetarianism is practically possible, especially so with the advancement in agriculture and technology and after the green revolution, the production of cereal and other food products has risen dramatically and is still rising. So why should we devour the animals? Some arguments being given against vegetarianism are that it will disturb food cycle, or even plants are living beings, then why do you eat them as well? Well what can be said is that both Scientific and Religious traditions concur on the fact that plants (or plant products) represent much more primitive level of consciousness than animals and hence can be for practical purposes reckoned as ‘Non-Living Things’ or at least ‘Lesser Living Things’.
The Vegetarian Community is growing globally. There are more vegetarians in the western world today than there were 20-30 years ago, it’s a fact which is evident from available statistics on this subject. Interestingly, Vegetarianism is finding slow but steady acceptance among the muslims as well. It should be one of the aims of the governments, to encourage food habits which exclude animal products or at least do not require animal slaughter. Morality and Ethical standards can come full circle only when Vegetarianism becomes the fashion and preferred choice for most individuals and hence the world becomes a less cruel place for the Animal Kingdom.

MAN AND SYSTEM – THE ETERNAL SUBJUGATION – AND THE WAY OUT

MAN AND SYSTEM – THE ETERNAL SUBJUGATION – AND THE WAY OUT
Thousands of years of Human History is replete with examples when ordinary men (and that includes women too) have suffered at the cost of certain influential sections – some people who are more important than the others by virtue of the power they yield or the wealth they posses or the respect them command or a combination of all three or any two. The common men have always faced the brunt of vagaries of nature, the pain of deprivation, social ire, the punishment for being audacious with someone more powerful, intra-family hardness, to name   just a few. The case is all the more tough for physically and mentally handicapped, the helpless among the women, Unlooked for and uncared for very senior citizens, discriminated religious-cultural-ethnic minorities, the ostracized castes and communities, and other social outcastes (Like Eunuchs).
For all the suffering common men of the world there is only one category – the suffering community. Man is but an object, a very small thing for the world. There are numerous levels at which these suffering people suffer, a dwarf is ridiculed throughout his life for the shortness in height, a  person with leprosy is shunned from society, humiliated, and some times beaten up for ‘no fault of his’,  a daughter of a family is raped and the father and other members can’t do anything because the culprits are the sons and relatives of an influential local MLA and strongman. World is indeed a cruel place, particularly so in the lower economic classes, where adultery is most common, wife beating – a symbol of manhood, this because they hardly have the luxuries and comforts of life, and have been hardened by circumstances.
With all the due respect to great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Mrs Indira Gandhi, Mr Rajiv Gandhi ; the deaths and assassinations of these leaders were given national importance and treated as calamities, while on the other side Kallu Chamar dies of lung infection as he had no money for treatment, in a sleepy village of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, an unknown, silent and unceremonised insignificant death. A Hindu is killed mercilessly by Muslim Mobs in Bangladesh, his property looted, his wife raped and forced into marriage and Islam. Hindu Mobs kill hundreds of Muslims in Gujarat for no fault of theirs to avenge the deaths of Godhra carnage. The war of vengeance and hatred takes it’s toll and kills ordinary men.
This eternal subjugation of the common man has been explained by different philosophies and ethical systems in their own ways. Well I would say something in a single sentence, crisp and clear – No System whether it’s Capitalism, Socialism, Marxism or Democracy can change the world all together. They can only create better environment, better opportunities so that people can grow and prosper, but essentially the World stays a dangerous place.
It is here that Spirituality, particularly The Hindu Vedantist Philosophy comes to our rescue. All happens because of Karma. There are evil men because of their karma, we got to stay away from them, ignore them and do not get annoyed thinking about them as it will only make us unhappy and vulnerable. On the contrary, if it’s necessary to handle them we must manage them with care and caution. We got to be ethical, full of love, cheerfulness and confidence, and at the same time worldywise and spiritually selfish as all of us are  ultimately individuals. The fact that the world is bad must not deter us from being good, but we must be on our toes, cautios, careful and alert. In essence, Love, confidence, positivity, cheerfulness are the qualities which make a Human more and more ‘humane’ and ensures his bright presence and golden future.
